In response to the arrest of one of California's greatest engineers, scientists, artists and pioneers, I am fervently opposed to any legal action being taken against our friend and collegue, Ed Rosenthal.  Certainly, Mr. Rosenthal has helped to ensure the just and necessary medication of thousands of ill Californians, as was supported by the voters with the Prop 215 over ten years ago.  With his help in paving the way for the medical marijuana movement, Mr. Rosenthal has clearly elevated the awareness and social consciousness of the state.  It is unacceptable that the federal goverment has repeatedly undermined and usurped the authority of the state (shame on the Govenator) to govern itself regarding the production and distribution of the potentially beneficial herb medicine.  Mr. Rosenthal is a true pioneer in every sense of the word, as his friends in the Emerald Triangle know, and does not deserve the unjust treatment he is receiving, rather he should be recognized as one of the most influential figures in California progressive sub-politics.  He has been put in the position of the sacrificial lamb, and if this man is charged with these 'crimes' we shall see him become a martyr for the cause.     Support the voters, support the will of the people, support the ill and needy, support your community and your neighbors and friends and family.  There is no reason for people to suffer needlessly, except for the greed of the Feds and their big corp. constituency!
